The Ypsi Thrift Shop Needs Art Donations
We are looking for donations of all kinds of art—paintings, prints, posters, pottery, figurines, wall hangings, glass
—whatever arty stuff you’ve got that you don’t need any more.
So please check your attic, garage, storage area, or basement for pieces you no longer have room for or that don’t fit with your new décor or that you never really liked anyway!
We need these donations by APRIL 1 at the latest.
And by the way, all donations are tax deductible!
There’s a free loading zone parking spot right in front of the shop.
Put your blinkers on and drop off your donations during regular business hours:
M and W-F: 10 AM to 3:45 PM
Tuesday: noon to 6 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 1 PM
Come to the thrift shop where you’ll find amazing deals every day!! Your donations and your purchases help others in your community, for which we say thank you!
We accept only cash for purchases. Here’s why.
Customers sometimes ask us why we don’t accept credit cards. The answer is simple: Accepting credit cards costs money.
We would rather donate ALL the money from our sales to the charities we support, instead of “donating” two percent to the banks. If we accepted credit cards, last year we would have paid the banks about $1,000.
So cash only, please. And no bills bigger than $20.
There are 720 hours in the average month.
Can you donate 3 ½ of those to help your community?
As a nonprofit resale shop that supports the community, we donate our profits to numerous local charities, and we’re able to provide that support because all the work at the shop is done by volunteers. We are busier than ever, and we could use more help. Would you like to join us?
You have to commit to working just 3 ½ hours each month. That’s not a lot of time, but the results are huge. Last year we were able to donate about $50,000, thanks to our volunteers.
We’ll train you in our procedures. The work is rewarding, and we even have fun doing it! If you’d like to join us, call the shop at 734-483-1226 and leave your name and phone number, and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you. You can also stop in during regular business hours and fill out an application.
